Babies spend
a lot of their early time in the nursery, so it's important to put a lot of
care and thought into your decorating choices. The colors and designs you
choose can help to stimulate or soothe your child and work toward developing
his cognitive abilities.
Because
bright colors are stimulating and useful for playing and learning, it's good to
decorate your baby's designated play area using bold blues, reds, yellows,
greens and oranges. Pastels, which are less stimulating, are good for soothing
a baby and helping them fall asleep and therefore should be used in the sleep
area.
Consider
selecting a pastel blue, pink, yellow or green bed set for your baby so that he
can drift off to slumberland in peace, rather than be distracted by too much
color activity.
In the play
area, however, invite a little excitement by installing a colorful wallpaper mural. Kids wall mural
sticker come in many sizes and designs, appropriate for both boys and girls.
You can find animals, shapes or floral patterns, or even dragons and fairies.
Whatever you choose, you're sure to stimulate your child's imagination from an
early age, and help him develop in his formative years.
