Decorating a
room to please both you and your significant other can be troublesome,
especially when both parties are involved in the decision-making. While one may
love to embellish with flowers, pastel shades and soft elegance, the other may
enjoy outdoor themes, wildlife and bold, dark colors.
A compromise
may be hard to imagine with two extreme visions of decorating. First, decide on
a color theme that you can agree upon for the room. For example, a sage green
can be a happy medium between a soft mint color and a bold forest shade. Use
sage and a neutral beige or tan as a design starting point, and then begin the
search for removable
wallpaper that will tie into the color scheme.
Because the wallpaper is removable, you can each
choose one graphic wall decal that may work well in the bathroom and change the
wall decor every few months.
You can
choose a vintage inspired, painted illustration of sage green leaves as
bathroom wall decor, and your loved one can choose a foggy forest scene at
sunset that ties in your natural theme yet appeals to his love for bolder
colors and a more striking image.
