"When my husband and I found out we were expecting a boy, we knew we wanted Peter Rabbit to be the theme of the nursery. We grew up loving Beatrix Potter stories. I had all of the books and several ornaments. My husband had lots of stuffed animal characters. We wanted to use the things from our childhood in our son's nursery, but we couldn't find anything that tied it all together. Until Murals Your Way! My mother and I were looking online for Peter Rabbit nursery items and came across an ad for Murals Your Way. We clicked on it and decided a mural would be perfect. The website was great. We were excited to have so many options to choose from. And I loved looking through the photos of sample rooms!
We looked through all the Beatrix Potter images, narrowed them down to two, ordered samples and ultimately chose "A Walk in the Woods." This image had a lot going on and incorporated many of our favorite characters. It also had a blank sign which we personalized with our son's name.
Once I placed the order, I had the mural about a week later. Installation was a breeze! My father and I watched the how-to video online and put the mural up in a few hours. It was relatively easy, especially for two people who've never hung wallpaper! It could not have looked better. I think I squealed with delight when I saw it installed! The reaction to the nursery has been great. One of my friend's mothers cried when she saw the baby's room. Most people ask who painted and now want me to help with their rooms!
We want to encourage a love of books for my son and wanted his nursery to have the feeling of walking into a book. The look was achieved to perfection! Though he can't read yet, he really loves looking at the characters. It is so fun pointing to "Benjamin Bunny" or "Mr. Fox" and telling Reed all about them. I can't wait until he's old enough to tell me who is who on his wall. I'm also hoping he will make up his own stories about the characters. I look forward to working with Murals Your Way again!"
