"The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy."

The non-profit national organization Make-A-Wish Foundation of America was founded in 1980 and now has 66 chapters in the United States and 27 international affiliates. The foundation grants a wish every 40 minutes and has granted more than 165,000 wishes worldwide. The Michigan chapter, founded in 1984, has granted wishes for more than 5,600 children. "Wishes provide a respite for the kids and their families as they bravely face their health challenges. The majority of wishes fall into one of four categories: trip wishes, meeting celebrities, occupational dreams, or receiving cherished gift items."

Murals Your Way was pleased to play a role in donating a mural to help create an "Enchanted Forest Playroom" for a little girl named Aaliyah. Along with the life-size tree and foliage filled décor, the mural donated, "Animal Kingdom" by Gail Gastfield, helped make the room spring to life. The family loves the room, and although Aaliyah has since passed away, the family will continue to enjoy it for years to come. They said the room changed their lives forever. Murals Your Way was extremely honored to "be a part of the magic."
