Alain Thomas was born in 1942 in Northern Brittany, France. He started his career on the sea and spent a decade sailing the globe on the SS France-a prestigious liner. As a consulting engineer in Paris, he spent his time exploring & photographing America, where he fell in love with the landscape of the American West.
