Candra Boggs transforms the joy and peaceful feelings she gets from her children into her paper mosaic artwork. Family, children, and her environment influence the way she approaches a new piece. Employing various artistic techniques and media, her mosaics have a contemporary appeal, with hidden surprises. “The materials used are quite simple: wood, paper, ink, linoleum, paint, glue and sealer,” Candra says. “I choose to create images that are derived from free-flowing thoughts, creating with a layering process of color, texture, shape, and line, which articulate my mood and inspiration.” Candra lives and teaches in Ohio There she creates her multi-media masterpieces and teaches art and photography to high school students.
