Rachael Ray and Team Add Wall Murals To Bedrooms After A Tornado Destroys A Family's Home
Celebrity chef and TV personality Rachael Ray knows firsthand that when disaster strikes your home, rebuilding your life is the toughest task of all. Rachael and her team are now using their experience and resources to help families rebuild their homes and their lives, better than before in her new series “Rachael Ray’s Rebuild”
Rachael brings her passion for design, decades of lifestyle branding experience, and her tough, get-it-done attitude to turn a disaster site into a home again. Rachael Ray teams up with contractor Anthony Carrino (Kitchen Cousins) and interior designer Sara Touijer to help families whose homes have been destroyed by weather events, fires, or other disasters, recover from the tragedies. They will not only be renovating and remodeling but will also help them move forward as they rebuild their lives and create the forever home of their dreams.
In Episode 1 of the First Season - Take Shelter - Rachael Ray, Anthony and Sara team up to help the Thomas Family whose home was completely destroyed by a F3 category tornado in September of 2021. Ashley and Troy Thomas have two young daughters ages 7 and 3 with one on the way. Ashley was 8 months pregnant when their home in Mullica Hill was hit by the tornado. Since their home was completely destroyed, Ashley and Troy took the opportunity to completely redesign their house from a 2 story home to a single level home with a Modern Farmhouse style.
In the premier episode, Rachael Ray worked with Murals Your Way to choose wall murals to add a colorful floral touch to each of the girl’s bedrooms. After living through an tornado, Rachael and the Thomas’ wanted to create rooms that the girls would love, feel safe in, and remain stylish as they grow.
