Material Specific Preparations

Vinyl HD - Texture, Eco Bella - Texture And Prepasted Wallpaper Instructions

The best wall surface when installing a Vinyl HD - Texture, Eco Bella - Texture or Prepasted Wallpaper is a wall painted with two coats of flat latex paint or primer. Allow 72 hours for the paint or primer to cure before installing your mural.

You can apply Vinyl HD - Texture, Eco Bella - Texture And Prepasted Wallpaper wall murals to a concrete wall, however you will need to install a wallpaper liner and apply a coat of flat paint prior to installing your mural.

Due to the thickness of our Vinyl HD - Texture, Eco Bella - Texture And Prepasted Wallpaper, it can be installed over an "orange peel" (on the left, below) textured wall.

SmartStick Instructions

The best wall surface when installing a SmartStick® mural is a wall painted with two coats of a satin or semi-gloss paint. Allow 7-10 days for the paint to cure before installing your mural. Do not install SmartStick® on a wall with flat paint or primer.

VersaGrip Instructions

This ultra-durable material is great for both indoor and outdoor use. Its strong adhesive allows it to adhere to rough surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, and brick. Please note that due to the unique characteristics of the material, VersaGrip is NOT recommended for drywall installation. Clean the surface with a warm damp cloth to remove any dust and allow 24 hours for the surface to dry completely. All surfaces must be clean, dry, undamaged, free from grease, road salts, oil stains, acids, sand and pebbles. If the surface isn’t clean, the adhesive performance will be inhibited. Do not install within 24 hours of the surface being exposed to moisture.

If your surface has been previously painted, you must apply a primer or paint/ primer combo to the surface. We recommend waiting 30 days to allow paint/ chemicals to completely cure. Do not install VersaGrip over a freshly painted surface. If the surface has never been painted or primed, there is no need to take this step. VersaGrip will adhere to an unpainted/natural surface.

Frosted Window Film

All hanging surfaces must be clean, smooth, dry, undamaged, as well as structurally sound. Clean the window with hot water (no cleaning agents). Dry with a squeegee or a non-fraying cloth.

Special Notes

  • Never install your mural on cinder block, paneling, heavy textured walls (such as "knock down" (pictured below)) or a slick wall surface without properly prepping the wall to be "mural ready."
