Easy Wall Prep Steps

Clean & Smooth Surface: Make sure your wall is clean, dry, and dust-free. Patch any nail holes or rough spots, sand smooth, and wipe clean.
Prime for Best Adhesion: For pasted materials or new drywall, applying a premium wallcovering primer ensures even adhesion and easy future removal. Allow primer to cure for 24–48 hours prior to hanging wallcoverings.
Allow Paint to Cure: If you recently painted your wall, allow the paint to cure for at least 14 days before applying peel-and-stick or pasted wallcoverings so the adhesive sets properly.

For peel-and-stick installation in rentals, our SmartStick® removable material works best on smooth, non-textured walls and removes cleanly without damaging paint.
