ASID Showcase Home Designer: Renae Keller
Renae is an ASID-certified interior designer who has been creating beautiful spaces since 1996. She is inspired by the little things in everyday life, from the colors of fresh produce at the farmers market to the painted finish on an antique buffet. Renae begins each project with an open dialogue with her clients to understand how they want a room to feel and how, in turn, they want to feel in their space. Renae is not tied to any one design style; rather, she collaborates with her clients to paint their story and make their space come alive.
Renae's Interior Design Tips:
How-To Tip #1: Incorporating Personal Pieces
The clients for the ASID MN Showcase House wanted to incorporate family photos throughout the home. With the challenge of a 19 foot long wall in the hallway to juggle, Renae says "You can always do an assortment of framed photos but we were looking for something refined and special. Creating a focal point for this space became on of my favorite parts of the project." Renae opted to keep it simple with beautiful black and white photos from a professional shoot that we transformed into this gorgeous collage.
How-To Tip #2: Go Big
Go big, and by big I mean to pull in a lot of images to make a over the top focal point. Many times this can be achieved in mural form by collecting lots of photos to combine and make one larger mural.

The ASID Showcase Home
Renae was selected to design a portion of the 18th ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) showcase home. The home is a beautiful 6700 square foot Tudor that, once renovated, will be open for tours to the public. Congrats Renae!
