We got a chance to chat with Vanessa about her longtime love of wallpaper and decorating!
"I've always loved wallpaper! I remember 10 years ago when I had books of preprinted murals and realized I would see it everywhere! I didn't want to be like everybody else; when I first discovered Murals Your Way I was blown away by how we can use any image I desired and expand it however I want."
How does Vanessa choose a mural for a project?
"During a client's intake meeting I listen to what they like, hobbies, goals and I try to create art that would relax their taste and make it feel and look timeless."
What determines Vanessa's theme & concept?
"I find inspiration for a project by listening to my client's vision. After the visualization I come up with unique ways of incorporating a theme to pay along with it all."
So what's Vanessa's best advice for decorating any space?
"Thinking outside the box is very important! I am always inspired by the world around me. I love to travel and get new ideas from different cultures however; my muse has always been my Cuban roots."
Vanessa's Cuban roots really come thru in a restaurant she designed called Havana Koi...
